A Hebrew - English Bible by Books

This copy of our Hebrew-English Bible is just intended for those who want to print out the books on their computers for study offline; note that some of these files are huge, and will take a long time to download, not to mention print.  You should use the "Print Preview" function of your browser to see if the number of pages and letter size seem right for you (we generally recommend using smaller type than you would want when reading from the screen, unless you have vision problems):  On our webmaster's machine, for example, Genesis prints out at 106 pages at the smallest type with 14 verses on the first page; 166 pages at medium type with 9.3 verses; 272 pages at the largest type with only 6 verses.

MP3 Recordings of the Hebrew Bible

Here are direct links to recordings in Hebrew on the Israeli Snunit Kodesh site, provided by Audio Scriptures International and the United Bible Society, ©1976; they are not chanted with a melody, but are clearly pronounced in Sephardic-style Hebrew.

The files are very large (up to 54MB!), so you really need a DSL, T1, or Cable high-speed Internet connection to use them.  It is generally best to download them to disk for repeated playing, and it is possible to put almost a complete set on a single standard 700MB CD for listening on portable MP3/CD players.  Chapter by chapter versions are also available here.
